Air conditioning installation and repair

Central air, Heil crossover systems and AC repair for homes from Park City to Custer. When it stops cooling in July, call the family that answers the phone.

Cool, quiet summers without the guesswork

Eastern Montana summers get hot, and a struggling air conditioner makes a long evening longer. We install Heil air conditioners matched to your furnace or air handler, and we repair and service AC systems of any brand.

Heil crossover systems are a newer option we really like. A crossover pairs an inverter-driven outdoor unit, the same technology used in ductless mini splits, with the furnace or fan coil and ductwork you already have. You keep your registers and your thermostat, and you get the quiet operation and steady temperatures of variable-speed cooling.

Want heating out of the same outdoor unit? Take a look at air-to-air heat pumps.

Heil air conditioners carry a 10-year parts limited warranty when registered on time. See warranty details.

Common questions

A crossover system uses an inverter-driven outdoor unit, like a ductless mini split, but connects it to a traditional furnace or fan coil so the cool air still moves through your existing ductwork. You get variable-speed efficiency and quieter operation without changing how your home is set up.

Check that the thermostat is set to cool, the filter is clean, and the outdoor unit’s breaker hasn’t tripped. If it still isn’t cooling, shut it off so you don’t damage the compressor and give us a call.

Usually, yes. If you have ductwork and a furnace, we can add a matched air conditioner or crossover system. If you don’t have ducts, a ductless mini split is often the better fit.
